About the position

The Self-Storage Acquisition & Asset Management Professional at Cove Capital Investments is responsible for leading the acquisition, repositioning, and management of self-storage facilities across the United States. This role is crucial for managing the self-storage portfolio on behalf of the company's investor base, ensuring optimal performance and value enhancement of the properties.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate self-storage acquisition opportunities nationwide.
• Conduct due diligence, including market analysis, property inspections, and financial modeling.
• Negotiate purchase agreements and collaborate with legal, finance, and operations teams to close transactions efficiently.
• Develop and execute value-add strategies to enhance property performance, including renovations, operational improvements, and market repositioning.
• Partner with third-party vendors and contractors to oversee property upgrades and maintenance.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the self-storage portfolio, ensuring optimal occupancy, revenue, and NOI performance.
• Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with property management teams, tenants, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in self-storage or commercial real estate.
• Proven track record of successful self-storage acquisitions, repositioning, and asset management.
• Strong knowledge of the self-storage market, trends, and operational best practices.
• Expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and real estate underwriting.
• Excellent negotiation, project management, and leadership skills.
