About the position
J.B. Hunt is seeking dedicated semi-local CDL-A drivers to join our Dedicated Contract Services® team. This position offers a unique opportunity to enjoy consistent freight and deliveries for a single customer, ensuring that our drivers have a stable and predictable work environment. As a dedicated driver, you will benefit from an activity-based pay plan that rewards safety, efficiency, and a strong work ethic. The compensation structure includes a competitive rate of $0.66 per mile, with additional earnings from stop pay at $60.00 per stop and the potential for outsourced work that can yield between $300 to $450 per day. New hires will receive daily training pay of $200 during an average training period of two weeks, along with safety training pay of $20 per hour. Additionally, drivers will receive holiday pay of $200.00 per day. Over the past six to twelve months, drivers in this position have achieved impressive annualized earnings of approximately $95,000.00, highlighting the lucrative nature of this role. Frequent home time is a key feature of this position, allowing drivers to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Onsite management is available to support drivers, and a paid online orientation is provided to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
Responsibilities
- Transport freight safely and efficiently to designated locations.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on the road.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle inspections.
- Communicate effectively with onsite management and dispatch regarding any issues or delays.
- Participate in training programs to enhance driving skills and safety awareness.
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
- Experience in truck driving preferred but not mandatory.
