The Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC) of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an exceptionally talented, motivated, and creative Semiconductor Process Engineering Senior Manager who will be accountable and responsible for technical and management activities associated with foundry semiconductor process engineering production and development. This position is located at our Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) - located outside of Baltimore, Maryland - where we design, manufacture, and test semiconductor products for internal and commercial production customers as well as emerging technology programs. Northrop Grumman's ATL semiconductor foundry is a unique capability supporting a range of production microelectronic devices (Silicon, Gallium Arsenide, Gallium Nitride, and Silicon Carbide) and providing leading edge technology development in Superconducting Electronics and Super-Lattice Castellated Field-Effect Transistors (SLCFET). Our devices enable Northrop Grumman's ground-based radars, airborne radars, and space systems. Our multidisciplinary foundry team enables activities from development to sustainment process engineering. ATL is responsible for all aspects of semiconductor technology including design, mask making, wafer fabrication, test, and assembly. A strong understanding of semiconductor technology and microelectronic process engineering is essential. The candidate must be experienced and well-versed in semiconductor industry best practices for semiconductor wafer processing and device fabrication, including modern thin film, etch, planarization, lithographic, test and measurement, and materials characterization processes and methods. The candidate must be a strong team participant, collaborative, be able to set direction amongst competing projects, have excellent communication skills, and be resourceful and multi-talented. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong leadership characteristics, a commitment to ethics and integrity, and the capability to innovate while challenging traditional ways of doing business. Further, the candidate will possess the ability to balance programmatic needs to deliver results within cost, schedule, and quality parameters while encouraging and rewarding innovative behaviors in the staff.
