About the position

The Senior A/V Finishing Producer at Amazon MGM Studios is responsible for producing high-quality A/V marketing materials for original films and series. This role involves overseeing the finishing and quality control of various A/V content, including trailers and digital spots, while managing vendor relationships and ensuring timely delivery of assets. The producer will collaborate with multiple teams to establish post-production pipelines, manage budgets, and uphold content security, all while advocating for quality creative finishing.

Responsibilities

  • Own the vendor management process to supervise the finishing of A/V materials throughout the mix, online, approvals, versioning and QC process.
  • Responsible for routing & tracking clearances of A/V materials prior to locked cut through final delivered asset.
  • Establish the finishing pipeline in conjunction with the show post team and VFX team for marketing materials.
  • Provide timeline inputs to cross functional leads and regularly flag milestones to the internal team.
  • Book mix and DI sessions, and coordinate creative lead and filmmaker/executive producer attendance when required.
  • Uphold content security and manage vendor security onboarding and tooling training.
  • Track all assets through the finishing process ensuring prompt receipt and distribution of crucial elements.
  • Oversee QC branding, exports, social resizes and iterations of all specs.
  • Own the A/V finishing portion of the campaign budget in conjunction with campaign managers.
  • Act as a bridge to the localization team to set expectations around timeline and provide elements for accelerated localization.
  • Oversee the receipt and distribution of Amazon Original Movies or Amazon Original Series A/V assets from internal production to external vendors.

Requirements

  • 7+ years experience in feature, series, or marketing post production, ideally at a studio or vendor, or agency.
  • Experience with digital and broadcast tv finishing processes, including online, mix and QC.
  • Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (specializing in Premiere Pro, Photoshop and After Effects), Avid and Project Management Software.
  • Experience with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.
  • Technical knowledge of specs, formats and placements as well as various pipelines (i.e. audio, picture, graphics, editorial, conform, visual effects, etc.).
  • Experience managing post production timelines and budgets.
  • Fluent in A/V formats with an understanding of the fundamentals of asset management, in theater deliverables (DCP), servicing, and trafficking.
  • Experience managing and delivering large volume of video assets to external partners.
  • Experience with image production, transfer protocols, digital asset management and publishing content for web.

  • Strong technical skills across picture, audio, graphics, and encoding formats.
  • Experience working in localization or with localization teams with an understanding of subtitling, dubbing, and graphics process.
  • Experience leading process improvements and/or operations tool implementations (e.g. digital asset management tool).
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team with an understanding of upstream and downstream workflows.
  • Strong communication and technical skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Experience creating department SOPs.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead with a positive 'can do' approach.
  • Ability to handle multiple, high priority tasks in a fast-paced environment.
