Responsibilities
- Provide personalized academic guidance to student-athletes regarding degree progression and course selection.
- Conduct eligibility checks related to NCAA and institutional standards.
- Collaborate with college advisors, the University Registrar, and coaching personnel to support student-athletes' academic and athletic aspirations.
- Ensure compliance with NCAA guidelines, FERPA, and ADA requirements while handling sensitive information.
- Engage consistently with student-athletes to monitor their academic progress and provide necessary support.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Four years of relevant experience in academic counseling or a related field.
Nice-to-haves
- Demonstrated teaching expertise with students from diverse backgrounds and various learning needs.
- Familiarity with NCAA Rules and Big Ten Conference Rules.
