About the position

The Senior Account Executive at EDB is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies within the U.S. State and Local sector, focusing on revenue growth from existing accounts and acquiring new customers. This role involves building strong relationships with key decision-makers, understanding procurement processes, and collaborating with internal teams to effectively position EDB's solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed sales quota through outbound/inbound leads strategically selling the value of EnterpriseDB's products to key decision makers
  • Qualify and cultivate leads generated from our website, trade shows and other marketing efforts
  • Build strong relationships resulting in growth opportunities
  • Establish and expand knowledge of our products, competitors and industry trends
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineers to present pre sales demos and assessments

Requirements

  • 7 years experience with successfully meeting sales and revenue goals to Key Stakeholders in the State, Local and Higher Education markets
  • Understanding of SLED procurement processes
  • Ability to build strong relationships with prospects, VAR's, OEM partners, and SIs resulting in net new pipeline generation
  • Proficient in creating pipeline, developing and executing close plans that overachieve sales and revenue goals
  • Ability to prospect effectively at all levels
  • Experience developing detailed pipeline building practices
  • Proficient in defining and executing close plans
  • Ability to accurately forecast the business to leadership
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Highly motivated and goal oriented
