About the position

The Senior Account Executive (SAE) role is a hybrid position responsible for managing the Stockton and Lodi territories. This position focuses on both acquiring new business and retaining existing accounts, requiring a combination of sales strategies to achieve budgeted sales goals. The SAE will handle customer cancellation requests, educate clients on contract details, and resolve escalations in customer service, all while maintaining and growing billable value in assigned accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow billable value in assigned accounts.
  • Prevent customer account losses and sell new waste streams, services, and products.
  • Initiate business-to-business sales relationships.
  • Prospect and close sales opportunities to achieve budgeted sales goals.
  • Develop and implement sound selling strategies for revenue growth.
  • Manage prospects and maintain key information in the prospect database.
  • Minimize revenue loss by maintaining customer relationship health standards.
  • Execute retention calls to improve customer service and profitability.
  • Establish and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Propose customer solutions compliant with regulations.
  • Communicate with Area Sales Managers to resolve customer issues.
  • Acquire in-depth industry knowledge to prepare complex proposals.
  • Maintain knowledge of internal sales strategies and external market trends.
  • Work closely with Plant Managers and Brokerage Account Managers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • 4 years of experience in direct business-to-business sales and cold calling.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate adaptability and professionalism.
  • Proven ability to produce results and think strategically.
  • Strong negotiation and influence skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with computer and software applications.
