About the position

The Senior Account Executive for the West Coast is responsible for achieving or exceeding an annual revenue quota through managing a portfolio of named accounts and identifying new business opportunities. This role involves high-level execution throughout the sales pipeline, including account analysis, prospecting, and relationship management, while ensuring exceptional client service and collaboration with project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Generate sales in assigned accounts or portfolio through direct sales, networking, and marketing events.
  • Identify, develop, and expand key accounts.
  • Demonstrate a strategic selling approach to target and penetrate companies with needs appropriate to the company's services and products.
  • Engage in prospecting activities focused on new business development opportunities in existing clients.
  • Qualify all accounts and ensure accurate information in Salesforce.com.
  • Work with senior leaders in targeted industries.
  • Develop winning proposals and deliver presentations, collaborating with other resources as needed.
  • Link products and capabilities with clients' business issues and strategic objectives.
  • Stay current on business issues facing dominant industries in the portfolio and strategize solutions.
  • Understand customers' decision-making processes and build relationships to win new business opportunities.
  • Partner with internal resources to set pricing, staffing, and delivery targets for proposed solutions.
  • Ensure quality handoffs for delivery of solutions.
  • Induct new Account members into the business.
  • Support the development of the team by sharing knowledge and insights with junior members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
