About the position

The Senior Account Executive (Sr. AE) at TierPoint is responsible for expanding the client base in Texas by providing tailored IT solutions. This role focuses on new client acquisition, working closely with IT leaders to develop customized solutions that support their digital transformation efforts. The position emphasizes a results-driven culture, allowing individuals to take significant responsibility and make impactful contributions within a dynamic sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the prospecting plan development and execution for new accounts
  • Identify and leverage compelling new business entryways for targeted outreach
  • Prospect, qualify, and create new relationships with clients
  • Build relationships with mid-level and C-suite prospects to deliver personalized solutions
  • Craft strategic, valuable messages that engage clients through email and sales calls
  • Create and deliver compelling solution-focused client presentations for C-level audiences
  • Coordinate between clients and internal teams to ensure a smooth client experience
  • Achieve or exceed monthly goals of prospect engagements and closed deals
  • Maintain and communicate in-depth knowledge of TierPoint's solutions and industry trends
  • Manage and overcome obstacles and objections in the sales process
  • Provide feedback to Sales, Marketing, and Product teams for optimization
  • Manage sales pipeline and record activities in CRM
  • Provide quality customer service aligned with company values

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of successful quota-carrying sales experience
  • Experience in a large technical account environment, preferably in managed services or data center services
  • Ability to learn and apply technical product knowledge
  • Track record of qualifying and closing consultative/service-led sales
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with mid-level and C-suite executives
  • Strong presentation skills for C-level decisionmakers
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong planning, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Positive, growth-oriented attitude
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Windows-based applications
