About the position

The Sales Representative position at Aldevron is a remote role within the Global Sales Organization, specifically targeting the Central territory. The primary focus is on driving orders growth and developing strong client relationships in the biotech, pharma, academic, and government sectors. The role involves identifying and closing new business opportunities, coordinating with internal teams, and managing sales pipeline data to support Aldevron's clients effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and close new business opportunities in biotech, pharma, academic, and government organizations in the assigned territory.
  • Establish and nurture business opportunities with new clients by supporting their ongoing and future programs.
  • Coordinate and align with Aldevron's inside sales and support teams to refine the sales and business development process.
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date forecasts, delivering visibility to new revenue opportunities and projecting revenue recognition for the quarter and year.
  • Input and track information, managing opportunity and sales pipeline data in the CRM system.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a B.S. in a scientific field.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a client-facing sales role in the life sciences industry, preferably in the biopharma sector.
  • Broad technical understanding in molecular and cell biology, including workflows related to biotherapeutics.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing territory and business development plans to expand business and generate revenue.
  • At least 1 year of sales or sales management experience for Contract Development and/or Contract Manufacturing Organizations supporting Cell and Gene Therapies.
  • At least 1 year of sales experience in the clinical drug development process, including knowledge of call points and sales cycles.

Nice-to-haves

  • MSc or PhD in a relevant field.
  • Experience supporting early or late-stage clinical programs and/or GMP manufacturing.
