About the position

The Senior Account Manager - Communications & Operations will oversee the communications needs across multiple brands and client services teams. This role involves managing day-to-day account handling, project and financial management, and providing direction and support to junior team members. The position requires expanding industry awareness and communication skills to effectively identify and implement a global vision for projects based on client objectives, while also contributing to strategic input and identifying new opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management of client projects and accounts.
  • Manage all stages of speaker bureau contracting for several client brands.
  • Prepare communications packets based on project type and execution of initiatives.
  • Prepare ancillary items for live events and support quality control of data for each item.
  • Assist in project status calls and taking call notes, driving team on delivery of follow-up actions.
  • Assist in agenda preparation, timelines preparation, and timeline management.
  • Prepare project/event trackers with HCP names, demographics, and project-specific data fields.
  • Track responses in Excel and maintain daily updates to be shared with the team each morning.
  • Prepare internal communications timeline for routing of communications to editorial and creative teams.
  • Manage client initiatives calendar for all outgoing communications to ensure no overlap.
  • Research and book venues for client dinners and 1:1 faculty meetings, tracking invitees.
  • Support ad hoc requests such as data analytics of evaluation responses and preparation of faculty area maps based on data set.
  • Provide junior team with clear and accurate project briefs and delegate workload accordingly.
  • Provide constructive and timely feedback to team and highlight training needs to line managers.
  • Regularly update client on progress and any changes to ongoing account activity.
  • Ensure timely response by team to client inquiries and adherence to Virgo house style format and quality standards.
  • Accurately input hours worked into timesheets on SAP.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of account management experience within a healthcare communications and/or logistics company.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent people management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written business communication skills.
  • Excellent project and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Financial management skills.
  • Good negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Excellent editing and quality control skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science preferred or of graduate caliber.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $90,000-$120,000 based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
