About the position

The Account Manager, Coronary position at Abbott is a field-based role focused on driving sales and market share growth for the company's vascular division. The role involves promoting a comprehensive portfolio of coronary products to interventional cardiologists, ensuring that sales objectives are met while developing strong relationships with hospital personnel and stakeholders. The Account Manager will collaborate with Clinical Specialists and negotiate contracts, while also supporting clinical selling activities and product launches.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all commercial selling activity for the assigned territory focusing on Interventional Cardiologists.
  • Promote the complete Coronary portfolio including atherectomy, carotid, PCIO, DES, and future product releases.
  • Influence stakeholders within the hospital to drive product utilization.
  • Support contracting efforts to gain favorable positions in accounts within the territory.
  • Drive market development in new product segments and new product launches.
  • Meet with current and potential customers to fulfill revenue and unit growth objectives.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies based on product, competition, and pricing needs.
  • Develop action plans by analyzing sales figures and reports to achieve sales goals.
  • Build relationships with hospital personnel and identify key purchasing decision makers.
  • Strengthen customer relationships through sales support activities and education events.
  • Attend trade shows, educational conferences, and seminars to stimulate interest in the company's products.
  • Maintain clinical and technical expertise by attending product training sessions.
  • Prepare and submit reports to sales management by analyzing and compiling relevant data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of related work experience.
  • Ability to travel 50% within assigned region.
