About the position

The Senior Account Manager for SLED Sales at Verizon is responsible for delivering innovative solutions to State, Local, and Federal Government agencies. This role focuses on growing sales opportunities through strategic networking, negotiating, and closing sales, while serving as a trusted advisor to optimize agency operations. The position requires a deep understanding of complex government agencies and emphasizes customer relationship management and sales pipeline management.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver innovative solutions to State, Local, and Federal Government agencies.
  • Grow sales opportunities through strategic networking.
  • Negotiate and close sales deals.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend innovative solutions.
  • Seek out new growth opportunities and generate new sales leads.
  • Write proposals and respond to Request for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Provide follow-up training for new customers.
  • Handle sales pipeline and activity with sales management tools.
  • Generate forecasting and tracking reports.
  • Keep up with new offerings and market trends through training and research.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Outside sales experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Eligibility to pass Motor Vehicle Record check.
