About the position

The Senior Account Manager at Qatar Airways is responsible for managing relationships with corporate and trade customers, focusing on maximizing revenue while minimizing costs. This role involves developing strategic partnerships, implementing sales strategies, and engaging in joint marketing activities to enhance revenue generation and distribution efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain long-term strategic relationships with Trade partners and corporate clients.
  • Prepare an account development plan to achieve mutual benefits for Trade Partners and Corporate customers.
  • Contribute to the formulation and implementation of QR sales strategy to maximize revenue opportunities and reduce costs.
  • Recommend pricing requests from Corporates/Trade and manage individual budgets.
  • Ensure focus on premium cabin and high yield sales.
  • Maximize value from marketing spend and manage individual expenditure budget.
  • Review QR sales data with account portfolio to drive revenue and identify tactical opportunities.
  • Manage and coordinate projects and initiatives within the area of responsibility.
  • Develop tactical Sales and Marketing activities to support sales opportunities.
  • Provide regular Market Intelligence and feedback from customers and competitors.
  • Represent QR at trade events, promotions, and sales functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of job-related experience.
  • Professional experience in a multi-cultural environment, preferably in the Airline industry.
  • Customer-facing experience.
  • Experience in negotiating contracts.
  • Experience in Airline Sales and Marketing.
  • Ability to spot and interpret market trends.
  • Experience working in a pressurized, target-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of GDS systems, ticketing, and selling experience.
