About the position

The Senior Corporate Account Manager at Caterpillar Inc. is responsible for managing product support needs for Global Accounts. This role involves maintaining strong internal and external relationships to achieve sales objectives, developing account strategies, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and resource management. A focus on technology products and total cost of ownership modeling is essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with dealers and internal business partners on sales and service support for corporate account customers.
  • Design processes to inform customers about rates, shipping dates, anticipated delays, and additional information needed.
  • Work directly with customers to collect information, sell additional products and services, and ensure customer needs are met.
  • Follow organizational policies and procedures while staying abreast of compliance requirements and maintaining clear communication within the organization.

Requirements

  • Expert level proficiency in customer focus, relationship management, and effective communications.
  • Expert level proficiency in value selling, with the ability to qualify sales prospects based on customer business needs.
  • Expert level proficiency in negotiation, decision making, and critical thinking, with the ability to analyze situations and reach productive decisions.
  • Extensive experience in account management, managing day-to-day activities, and providing services to existing clients.

Nice-to-haves

  • Specific industry experience with Construction Industry products and services.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or marketing.
  • Extensive commercial experience in dealer and/or customer-facing positions.
