About the position

The Sales Representative role involves selling products and services to customers in assigned multi-dwelling units (MDUs) through door-to-door solicitation and building relationships with property managers. The position focuses on enhancing the customer experience, meeting sales goals, and generating revenue from existing customers. The representative will also handle customer complaints, maintain knowledge of competitors, and participate in sales meetings and training.

Responsibilities

  • Sell products and services to customers in assigned MDU areas through door-to-door solicitation and lobby events.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with property managers.
  • Support efforts to enhance the customer experience.
  • Meet monthly sales goals and increase sales volume through assigned leads.
  • Generate incremental revenue from existing customers by adding new services.
  • Respond to customer problems and complaints according to company policy.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitors' activities and inform management of changes.
  • Attend and contribute to sales meetings and training programs.
  • Complete necessary paperwork for sales activities, including sales orders and reporting.
  • Collect and account for funds and provide receipts according to company policies.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of cold call sales skills and persuasion techniques.
  • Clear communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to assigned territories using a reliable personal vehicle.
  • Ability to work outside for extended periods in any season and during inclement weather.
  • Familiarity with computer operating systems and consumer communication devices.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • 1+ years of experience in sales or customer service.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of communications technologies and services, especially data networking fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of cable or telecommunications services.
  • Experience with consumer education of products and services.
  • Success in a previous sales position, prospecting, or cold calling.
