About the position

The Senior Account Sales Representative at Spectrum is responsible for selling products and services to customers in assigned areas through door-to-door solicitation and relationship building. This role focuses on enhancing the customer experience, meeting sales goals, and generating revenue from existing customers. The representative will work both independently and collaboratively, adapting to varying schedules and conditions while maintaining a strong knowledge of the competitive landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Actively support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Meet established sales goals and increase sales volume through assigned leads and properties.
  • Solicit residential customers through door-to-door sales and build relationships with property management.
  • Generate incremental revenue from existing customers by adding new services or upgrades.
  • Respond to customer problems and complaints according to company policy, ensuring issues are resolved satisfactorily.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitors' activities and inform management of changes in pricing or marketing.
  • Attend and contribute to sales meetings and training programs.
  • Complete necessary paperwork to support sales activities, including sales orders and reporting.
  • Collect and account for funds, providing receipts according to company policy.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Knowledge of cold call sales skills and persuasive communication.
  • Ability to travel to assigned territories using a reliable personal vehicle.
  • Ability to work outside for extended periods in various weather conditions.
  • Familiarity with computer operating systems and consumer communication devices.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in sales or customer service.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of communications technologies and services, especially data networking fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of cable or telecommunications services.
  • Experience with consumer education of products and services.
