About the position

The Senior Account Sales Representative at Spectrum is responsible for selling products and services to customers in assigned multi-dwelling units (MDUs) through door-to-door solicitation and building strong relationships with property managers. This role focuses on enhancing the customer experience, meeting sales goals, and generating incremental revenue from existing customers. The representative will work primarily in an outdoor environment, engaging with customers and managing sales activities effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Actively support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Meet established objectives related to monthly sales goals and increased sales volume.
  • Solicit residential customers through door-to-door solicitation and lobby events.
  • Generate incremental revenue from existing customers by adding new services.
  • Respond to customer problems and complaints according to company policy.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitors' activities and inform management of changes.
  • Attend and contribute to sales meetings and training programs.
  • Complete necessary paperwork to support sales activities accurately.
  • Collect and account for funds and provide receipts according to company policies.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of cold call sales skills and persuasive communication.
  • Ability to travel to assigned territories using a reliable personal vehicle.
  • Ability to work outside for extended periods in any season.
  • Familiarity with various consumer and commercial communications devices and software applications.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in sales or customer service.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of communications technologies and services, especially data networking fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of cable or telecommunications services.
  • Experience with consumer education of products and services.
  • Success in a previous sales position, prospecting, or cold calling.
  • 2+ years of sales or relevant work experience.
