About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with a focus on financial analysis and reporting. This role requires expertise in cash flow analysis, bank reconciliation, and general ledger accounting. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of financial statements and providing valuable insights to support business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Daily company bookkeeping ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
• Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare invoices and follow up with receivables if needed.
• Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
• Prepare management reports monthly.
• Assist in budget preparation and monitoring.
• Prepare tax returns and sales tax returns.
• Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and alert if necessary.
• Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue.
• Assist with other tasks and projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Proven experience in accountant or a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience with financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting is highly desirable.
