About the position

Wei-Chuan U.S.A., Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing day-to-day accounting activities, which include managing Accounts Payable, maintaining the General Ledger, and ensuring accurate Journal Entry maintenance. You will also review periodic trial balances and reconcile them with the general ledger to ensure accuracy in financial reporting. A key aspect of this position involves implementing, maintaining, and reviewing bi-weekly payroll processing to guarantee timely and accurate processing of transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions. Additionally, you will prepare for the period-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring that all financial records are accurate and up to date. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in the financial health of our organization. Your expertise will help us uphold our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes. This position requires a strong analytical mindset and excellent communication skills, as you will be collaborating with various teams to ensure that financial operations run smoothly. Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day accounting activities including Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Journal Entry maintenance.
  • Review periodic trial balances and reconcile them with the general ledger.
  • Implement, maintain, and review bi-weekly payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Prepare for period-end and year-end closing processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience is required.
  • US work authorization is required.
  • Bilingual in English and Chinese is required.
  • Master's degree or CPA license is preferred.
  • Solid organizational skills and strong analytical mindset are essential.
  • Working intermediate level knowledge of MS Office and MS Excel is required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Sage ERP, is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the food manufacturing industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance is preferred.
