About the position
The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in managing key accounting functions and supporting various projects at Echo Lake, a company known for its innovative breakfast products. This position involves ensuring compliance with GAAP, conducting variance analysis, and contributing to the year-end audit process, while also mentoring junior accountants and assisting with system enhancements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct variance analysis, control, and costing.
- Manage sales, use, and payroll tax reporting.
- Perform internal and divisional reporting.
- Maintain, analyze, and reconcile general ledger accounts ensuring compliance with GAAP.
- Contribute to the year-end audit process.
- Assist with system enhancements and implementations.
- Mentor junior accountants.
- Provide backup support for other senior accountants.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from an accredited program.
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Experience with Accounts Receivable and Payables.
- Microsoft Dynamic GP experience preferred.
- Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Self-driven, organized, analytical mindset, and a fast learner.
Nice-to-haves
- Inventory experience is helpful but not required.
