About the position

FOX Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join its Finance and Compensation team. This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced work environment and possess strong multi-tasking abilities. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in the month-end closing process, analyzing accruals, reviewing the Profit and Loss (P&L) statements, and explaining variances related to payroll and equity transactions. The position requires collaboration across various business units to collect payroll data, which is essential for facilitating the pay ratio study. In addition to these responsibilities, the Senior Accountant will prepare the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle for the Corporate Office Compensation. They will assist in the preparation of annual increase files and support the team with quarterly reconciliations, including payroll taxes and pension payments. The role also involves preparing tables for proxy disclosures and managing SOX compliance, as well as handling internal and external audit requests. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for payroll year-end reconciliations, including W-2 reconciliations, and maintaining executive compensation payroll schedules. Furthermore, they will prepare bank reconciliations and assist with the preparation of materials for compensation meetings, while also supporting senior management with various ad-hoc projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end closing process, analyze accruals, review the P&L and explain variances for all payroll and equity transactions
  • Coordinate and collect payroll data across business units to facilitate pay ratio study
  • Prepare annual budgeting and forecasting cycle for Corporate Office Compensation
  • Assist in the preparation of annual increase files for Corporate Office
  • Support team with quarterly reconciliation including payroll taxes and pension payments
  • Assist in the preparation of tables for proxy disclosures
  • Manage and maintain SOX compliance in addition to internal and external audits requests
  • Prepare and assist with payroll year-end reconciliations including W-2 reconciliations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3-5 years of accounting/finance experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Workday HCM/financials preferred
  • Prior experience with payroll and compensation preferred
  • Public Accounting experience preferred
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple projects
  • Strong communication skills
