About the position

The position at ImmunityBio involves comprehensive responsibilities related to manufacturing operations and supply chain management. The role focuses on preparing financial reports, analyzing variances, and assisting with month-end closing processes. The individual will work closely with management to identify opportunities for improvement and support various financial functions within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly financial information utilizing applicable support systems.
  • Prepare journal entries and enter inventory A/P accruals.
  • Reconcile the balance sheet and analyze variances.
  • Assist with month-end closing including reconciliation of perpetual inventories to the general ledger.
  • Track daily work items assigned in D365.
  • Investigate and report on inventory adjustments.
  • Support cost roll as needed and new product costing.
  • Assist Cost Director with annual budget process and annual physical inventories.
  • Support internal customers by researching questions and investigating variances on the financial statements.
  • Ensure proper retention, filing, and handling of accounting records.
  • Prepare other reports and assist in special projects and analysis as required or requested by the manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field with emphasis in accounting required.
  • 5+ years of professional experience.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced changing environment.
  • Experience working in Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical companies.
  • ERP experience preferably Microsoft Dynamic 365.
  • Cost accounting background or willingness to learn and a strong understanding of GAAP.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Innovative thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Strong organizational abilities and adept at managing multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
