About the position

The position is for an accounting professional at nVent's Trachte facility in Madison, WI. The role involves ensuring accurate financial reporting, assisting in general ledger analysis, and maintaining compliance with Sarbanes Oxley documentation. The successful candidate will act as a business partner to resolve accounting discrepancies and support the finance team with proactive analysis and project work.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial transactions.
• Assist in the research and analysis of general ledger account variances.
• Develop and maintain standard recurring Journal Entries.
• Prepare and review assigned month-end account reconciliations accurately and on a timely basis.
• Act as a business partner to drive resolution of reconciling items.
• Provide proactive analysis and support to the finance team and functional leadership.
• Maintain Sarbanes Oxley documentation.
• Coordinate internal and external audit activities.
• Prepare Ad Hoc data requests and project work as requested.
• Support the execution and application of technical accounting principles.
• Interact with key segment business partners.
• Back-up others as needed in the primary accounting center environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required.
• 3+ years accounting experience.
• Proficient with all Microsoft Office products.
• Experience with INFOR M3 or a similar ERP software package.
• Exceptional analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Ability to work and interact with various departments throughout the organization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• CPA or CMA is preferred but not required.
• Manufacturing industry experience is a plus.
• Experience with OneStream a plus.
• Continuous improvement mentality and desire to enhance business processes.
• Flexibility in regard to overtime during periods of peak activity.
