About the position

The Senior Accountant position involves managing various accounting tasks, including month-end and year-end closing processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This role is essential for ensuring accurate financial records and supporting the accounting department's operations. The position is based in an office setting with a full-time commitment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing process
• Create and maintain spreadsheets in Excel
• Perform capital expense reconciliations and payments
• Perform journal entries
• Perform reconciliations of inventory, bank statements, and financial accounts
• Assist with accounts receivable collections
• Accumulate profit and loss report information
• Back up other key members of the Accounting department (cross trained to various roles in department)
• Track and invoice miscellaneous sales
• Perform other special projects as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
• Minimum 4 years of relevant accounting experience
• Experience using MS Dynamics GP and/or Power BI a plus
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools
