About the position

The Senior Accountant role at Randstad US involves analyzing financial statements, performing complex reconciliations, and managing intercompany transactions. The position requires collaboration with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. The Senior Accountant will also assist in the annual audit process and contribute to process improvements within the accounting function.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and work with appropriate parties to correct issues promptly.
  • Review financial statements actual vs forecast and explain variances.
  • Perform complex intercompany transactions and reconcile intercompany balances.
  • Conduct complex balance sheet account reconciliations and prepare journal entries for high-risk accounts.
  • Review results of assigned business areas and investigate variances.
  • Review billing contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition.
  • Manage assigned rebates and ensure they are adequately accrued and paid.
  • Liaise with field operations and internal departments to provide documentation and answer questions.
  • Complete weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end close responsibilities.
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting to Holdings.
  • Prepare analytics to understand business results and work with Finance Planning on budgets and forecasts.
  • Lead initiatives to improve, standardize, and streamline accounting processes.
  • Use technology to streamline manual processes.
  • Work on multiple projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Assist in the annual audit process with external auditors.
  • Document existing accounting procedures and processes based on thorough understanding.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as necessary.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, required.
  • CPA license or CPA track, preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, required.
  • Experience with JD Edwards, PeopleSoft and/or Hyperion, preferred.
  • Proficiency using Google mail, calendaring, and shared drives.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and manage multiple projects.
  • Independent worker with strong time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with JD Edwards, PeopleSoft and/or Hyperion.
