About the position

The Senior Accountant at Lantheus will play a crucial role in the Accounting team, focusing on the preparation of month-end close and consolidation processes. This position involves maintaining accountability for various accounting areas, including revenue, ERP systems, and compliance, while assisting in the development and implementation of financial policies and controls. The Senior Accountant will collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to accounting principles.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review journal entries related to revenue, including deferred revenue and revenue adjustments.
  • Ensure all revenue transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with accounting principles and company guidelines.
  • Perform detailed reconciliations of revenue-related accounts, such as accounts receivable and revenue accounts.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances identified during reconciliation processes.
  • Prepare analysis and applicable manual entries and perform month-end general ledger reconciliations for assigned accounts.
  • Coordinate with internal and external contacts to review transactions and address proper accounting and resolve any variances.
  • Reconcile balance sheet and applicable income statement accounts with supporting documentation.
  • Compare general ledger activity against budget and forecasts, explaining differences in expectations versus actual results.
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of processes, procedures, and controls that capture, track, and report financial results in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley, U.S. GAAP, and company policies.
  • Partner and collaborate with cross-functional business teams and all members of the Accounting & Finance team.
  • Assist in maintenance and continuous improvement of the Company's ERP systems.
  • Assist in ERP transactional processing, data management activities, business intelligence analysis, and reporting.
  • Interpret reports and records for managers/stakeholders.
  • Conduct month-end balance sheet and income statement variance analysis.
  • Provide requested documentation to auditors and respond to questions timely.
  • Support footnotes disclosure for financial reporting purposes related to applicable general ledger accounts.
  • Assist in preparation of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets for responsible areas.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Accounting; CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
  • 3-5 years accounting experience; recent public accounting experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of manual and automated accounting and reporting systems.
  • Working knowledge of ASC 606 and GAAP revenue recognition requirements.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, or as a team member.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work under pressure and with multiple deadlines.
  • A sense of urgency and self-motivation, with a personal commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • High energy and ability to work well with all levels of management.

  • Public company experience is preferred but not required.
  • SAP Experience is preferred but not required.
