About the position

The Senior Accountant position at Nabors involves assisting the Accounting Manager/Supervisor in providing timely and accurate financial results and analysis. The role serves as a point of contact for the respective Business Unit, ensuring that transactions are recorded in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and the company's policies. The position requires working closely with shared services personnel to maintain accuracy and completeness in financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly/quarterly close process ensuring all entries are accurate and processed timely for assigned areas
• Provide accurate and timely financial statements and reports to management
• Complete analysis/reconciliations of income statement and balance sheet accounts and investigate deviations from forecasts or historical trends
• Support the Operations team for accounting/financial issues and questions
• Drive continuous improvement in the group and implement efficient and effective procedures; correctly document all processes
• Support interim and year-end reporting and audit requirements and provide assistance to external auditor, if required
• Assist FP&A team with forecast/budget; review and challenge operational assumptions as they are the basis for variance analysis
• Assume other duties and responsibilities as required by management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance
• 5+ years of experience
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and meet goals and deadlines
• Strong analytical skills and accounting technical knowledge
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Proven ethics, professionalism and discretion
• Must be detail oriented
