The Senior Accountant position at a large healthcare company in Wellington, Florida, involves overseeing financial reporting and analysis, maintaining balance sheet accounts, and supervising the accounts payable department. Responsibilities

• Responsible for monthly reporting and analysis of hospital-wide financial data
• Assist in financial processes of month end, audit and statutory reporting
• Maintain balance sheet accounts and prepare reconciliations on a monthly basis
• Prepare financial package for corporate office
• Supervise accounts payable department
• Perform general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization
• Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements
• Maintain the general ledger
• Code invoices, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and close the monthly books
• Reconcile bank accounts at least monthly, verify deposits, and address inquiries from banks
• Reconcile cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manage accounts receivable collections
• Verify and/or complete payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensure payments are charged to the appropriate accounts

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, or related field, required
• At least three years of related experience required
