About the position

The Senior Accountant at Vista Equity Partners will play a crucial role in supporting the general accounting processes for the management company and its related entities. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP. The successful candidate will work with minimal oversight and will be responsible for various accounting tasks, including month-end close activities and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close activities including preparing general ledger entries, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset schedules, prepaid expense and accruals, and P&L variance analysis.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting procedures, including assisting with monthly regulatory filings.
• Oversee international subsidiary month-end close process.
• Work with external service providers on monthly deliverables.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Coordinate and assist with state and local tax filing requirements.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Provide support for ad-hoc analysis and projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience including month-end close process.
• Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
• Experience with automated financial systems, preferably Sage Intacct and FloQast.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP including revenue recognition principles (ASC 606).
• Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work to internal and external deadlines.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Capability to work in a fast-paced & growing company.
• Strong computer desktop skills required, with advanced skills in MS Excel desirable.

Nice-to-haves

• Asset management industry experience, management company preferred.
