About the position

The Senior Accountant at DSV is responsible for enforcing and applying accounting principles to analyze financial information, prepare accurate finance reports, and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures. This role involves managing tax reporting, general ledger functions, revenue recognition, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes. The Senior Accountant will also prepare profit center reporting and address budget variances, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Work with external tax agencies to produce and prepare necessary documentation for tax reporting.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to regulatory reporting.
  • Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems and procedures.
  • Responsible for month-end closing and reporting tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare monthly profit center reports and analyze fluctuations for management.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in inventory records and implement control procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to DSV compliance and financial manuals; recommend new policies as needed.
  • Assist in budget planning and rolling forecasts as assigned.
  • Identify business strategic indicators and implement tracking processes.
  • Support year-end statutory audits and manage timely submission of tax filings.
  • Coordinate with controlling team members in Israel and APAC for consistent processes.
  • Collaborate with department managers to support company goals and objectives.
  • Respond to inquiries from DSV Finance regarding financial results and special reporting requests.
  • Perform other ad hoc reporting or tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting from an accredited college or university.
  • Five or more years' prior experience in accounting or related field.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Strong understanding of established international financial reporting standards.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with care and discretion.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others across functions at all levels.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's in Business with an emphasis in Accounting from an accredited college or university.
  • CMA or CPA License.
  • Familiarity with Pillar 2.
  • Experience with specific ERP Systems: Priority, SAP.
  • International accounting experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing industries.
