About the position

The Senior Accountant position at a global bank in Dallas, TX, involves managing various accounting functions, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysis. This role requires a proactive approach to resolving discrepancies and improving accounting processes through automation. The position is hybrid, requiring three days of onsite work per week.

Responsibilities

• Complete monthly general ledger reconciliations using Excel and advanced analytical skills.
• Research and resolve discrepancies to enhance the effectiveness of the accounting reporting team.
• Process monthly accounting entries with relevant documentation to support the monthly close cadence.
• Provide robust variance and composition analysis related to financial statement captions.
• Prepare detailed schedules for internal and external reporting needs, including regulatory or management reporting.
• Analyze and interpret data using Excel, Access, or other digital tools.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and effectively communicate findings.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in Excel and advanced analytical skills for reconciliations and data analysis.
• Experience in preparing journal entries and financial reporting.
