About the position

The Senior Accountant position in Las Vegas, Nevada, involves a variety of accounting functions, including sales commission analysis, account reconciliations, and support for financial statement preparation. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely payments and collections.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, process, and reconcile sales commissions
• Handle accounts receivable/payable, including payments, receipts, and roll forwards
• Manage the billing and invoicing process, particularly in reconciling sales transactions
• Oversee collections and ensure timely payments
• Carry out bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
• Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including preparation of financial statements
• Support the credit card expense reimbursement process
• Utilize accounting software, such as Oracle NetSuite, to maintain and update financial records
• Apply advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP's and pivot tables, for data analysis and reporting
• Perform general ledger functions and journal entries
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail and analytical skills in all tasks.

Requirements

• Must possess at least 2 years of experience in a senior accountant role or similar
• Proficient in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations
• Strong knowledge of General Ledger, Journal Entries, and Month End Close
• Experience with NetSuite is highly desirable
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
• Must be able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred
• Certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus.
