About the position

The Senior Accountant position at Vaco is a fully remote role focused on managing day-to-day accounting duties and assisting with external reporting. This role is ideal for a high-energy individual with expertise in SEC reporting and technical accounting research, contributing to a collaborative and fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities

• Streamline processes and build efficiencies
• Manage day-to-day accounting functions including month-end close, reconciliations, and AP/AR oversight
• Conduct financial analysis
• Collaborate with all levels of management and departments
• Assist with 10-K and 10-Q filings and footnote disclosures
• Provide support to other departments on technical accounting concerns

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• CPA preferred but not required
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• 3 years of experience in public accounting and/or large publicly traded company
• Big Six experience preferred
