About the position

The Senior Accountant plays a crucial role in the Accounting department, responsible for maintaining the general ledger, reviewing financial statements, preparing financial reports, and assisting with audits and budget processes. This position also involves training and supporting junior accountants and serving as a lead resource for the Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger (GL) and ensure its accuracy.
• Review financial statements and prepare financial reports.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Support budget processes and financial planning.
• Reconcile high-risk GL accounts and review low to medium-risk GL accounts.
• Provide training and support to Staff Accountant I & II and Junior Staff Accountants.
• Act as a lead resource for the Accounting Manager in departmental matters.

Requirements

• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of accounting.
• Advanced level of expertise in accounting principles and practices.
• Ability to assist less experienced team members.
