About the position
The Senior Accountant position at a growing privately held manufacturing company in Beverly, Massachusetts, involves significant responsibilities in financial reporting, month-end close activities, inventory management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. The role requires collaboration with the Controller and CFO as part of a 5-person finance team, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, payroll reconciliations, and IT control initiatives. The position is primarily on-site with some flexibility when needed.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial reports and statements.
- Manage month-end close activities and ensure compliance with GAAP.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Conduct inventory management and analysis.
- Assist in budgeting and cash forecasting activities.
- Perform payroll reconciliations and ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with the finance team on financial analysis and reporting.
- Support IT control initiatives related to financial processes.
Requirements
- BS Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 5+ years of corporate accounting experience with strong GAAP knowledge.
- Experience in month-end close, financial reporting, and account analysis.
- Proficiency in transactional accounting activities including AP, AR, and payroll.
- Experience in creating budgets and cash forecasting.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with NetSuite is preferred.
- Knowledge of the manufacturing industry is desired.
- Experience in multi-site plant location accounting.
