About the position
The Senior Accountant position at a growing privately held manufacturing company involves significant responsibilities in financial reporting, month-end close activities, inventory management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. The role requires collaboration with the Controller and CFO within a 5-person finance team, focusing on overseeing accounts payable and receivable, payroll reconciliations, and IT control initiatives. The position is primarily on-site with some flexibility as needed.
Responsibilities
- Involved in financial reporting and month-end close activities.
- Manage inventory and oversee accounts payable and receivable.
- Create budgets and perform cash forecasting.
- Conduct financial analysis and payroll reconciliations.
- Collaborate with the finance team on IT control initiatives.
Requirements
- BS Degree in Finance or Accounting required.
- 5+ years of corporate accounting experience with strong GAAP knowledge.
- Experience in month-end close, financial reporting, account analysis, and transactional accounting activities including AP, AR, and Payroll.
- Strong communication skills are required.
- Experience with NetSuite is preferred.
- Knowledge of the manufacturing industry is desired.
