About The Position

The Payroll Accounting, Forecasting & Management position is a critical role responsible for overseeing the General Ledger (GL) payroll closing activities across multiple regions including the US, UK, and Continental Europe. The individual in this role will ensure that payroll processes and tax documents are accurate and up to date, working closely with Finance Managers in local offices such as Hong Kong, France, Switzerland, and Italy to review monthly payroll. This position requires collaboration with payroll managers in the US and UK to identify and resolve any issues that may arise, as well as ownership of global payroll forecasting using SAP Analytics Cloud. The successful candidate will provide the Senior Finance Manager with global monthly payroll commentary for actuals and forecasts, and will participate in meetings with HR to review cost centers and the allocation of employees to ensure that information within Success Factors is accurate. Additionally, the role involves working closely with external auditors to assist in the completion of all audits, particularly those related to payroll queries. The individual will liaise directly with local tax offices regarding social contributions and taxes, ensuring compliance with governmental laws for payroll accounting and taxes. Support for the Senior Finance Manager with compensation plans and severance accounting is also a key responsibility. In terms of balance sheet reviews and payroll ownership, the individual will be responsible for maintaining and preparing the accuracy of payroll balance sheet reconciliations globally. This includes conducting payroll balance sheet reconciliations and investigations related to pensions, employer taxes, and benefits. The role requires collaboration with relevant key stakeholders to identify and resolve payroll balance sheet reconciliation issues, as well as preparing balance sheet reviews for each entity and identifying key areas of concern. The successful candidate will provide advice and support to the wider Finance team by identifying weaknesses in balance sheet reconciliations and partnering with Financial Analysts in investigations. Furthermore, the role entails global oversight of payroll systems for reporting, analysis, and recording journal entries, which includes partnering with local Finance partners and Payroll teams.
