About the position

We are seeking a highly competent and dedicated Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team, specifically focusing on the water/wastewater sector of our Civil Engineering department. As a key team member, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the design, planning, and implementation of water and wastewater projects. Your role will involve managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This position offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects involving wastewater treatment plants and drainage systems, contributing to the sustainable development of our society. In this role, you will be designing, developing, and overseeing the construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure, such as water and sewage systems, and wastewater treatment plants. You will undertake complex calculations related to water and wastewater systems to ensure efficient design and implementation. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and other professionals will be essential to develop the most effective water/wastewater solutions. You will also conduct research to determine project requirements and standards, prepare public reports on environmental impact, bid proposals, deeds, and budgets, and manage water/wastewater projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget. Evaluating potential risks and making decisions based on your expert understanding of water/wastewater engineering principles will be a critical part of your responsibilities. Ensuring all designs and projects comply with industry regulations and environmental standards is also a key aspect of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure, such as water and sewage systems, and wastewater treatment plants.
  • Undertaking complex calculations related to water and wastewater systems to ensure efficient design and implementation.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and other professionals to develop the most effective water/wastewater solutions.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 6+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on water/wastewater management.
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing wastewater treatment plants and drainage systems.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and water/wastewater treatment processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using civil engineering software and tools.
  • A valid professional engineer's (PE) license.

Nice-to-haves
