About the position

The Senior Accounting Manager, Lease position at IGT is a pivotal role within the Global Assets team, focusing on Lease Accounting for the Global Lottery Controllership organization. This position involves overseeing the Lease Accounting team, ensuring accountability and integrity while developing processes and guidelines for effective lease management. The successful candidate will play a critical role in transitioning lease accounting responsibilities from the former Gaming Accounting team and will be integral in implementing best practices and methodologies in lease accounting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Lease Accounting team and ensure accountability and integrity.
• Monthly review and posting of lease entries.
• Conduct account reconciliations and reporting, including IFRS reconciliations.
• Prepare IFRS and US GAAP Cash Flow reporting.
• Compile annual lease disclosures and make lease technical accounting judgments.
• Develop best practice methodologies and provide training for successful lease project implementation.
• Enhance knowledge base on Lease Accounting using a third-party solution and collaborate with various business partners.
• Implement new business initiatives in Lease Accounting, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Inter-company, and other accounting areas as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 8+ years of accounting or related experience.
• Advanced analytical and technical knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP accounting software.
• Advanced PC skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel (databases, pivot tables, macros, etc.).
• Prior team lead experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with stringent deadlines.
• Ability to work cross-departmentally and understand process controls.
