Senior Accounting Manager

About the position

Scientific Games is seeking an experienced and motivated Accounting Manager with a strong background in private and public accounting. This role requires the capability to manage and provide leadership to an accounting team on a daily basis. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, spreadsheet experience, and knowledge of cost accounting, along with experience in the preparation of financial statements, forecasts, budgets, reporting, and financial analysis. The position has a strong focus on process improvement and automation.

Responsibilities

• Review all entries prepared by senior accountants
• Support customer contract accounting review
• Identify, lead, and help execute on process improvement and automation initiatives
• Manage month-end close process and prepare financial statements
• Manage the accounting booking and reconciliation of the manufacturing business
• Review analysis of operating results (actuals vs. budget vs. forecast vs. prior year)
• Prepare annual budget and update monthly forecasts throughout the year
• Prepare various other ad hoc reports as needed
• Work with Tax Department as needed
• Work with internal and external auditors during quarter and year-end audits, as well as SOX compliance

Requirements

• B.S. in Accounting
• 10+ years of private/public industry accounting experience, with 3+ in a supervisory role
