Alter Domus is currently seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to join our Private Equity Fund Administration team in Boston. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing daily cash contributions and distributions for investment fund clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with governing agreements. You will also be involved in inquiring about cash and journal entries, participating in quarterly and annual audit functions, and assisting with the open items list and auditor communications. Regular communication with clients is essential, as you will need to respond to inquiries in a timely manner and with a sense of urgency. A thorough understanding of the governing agreements between Alter Domus and the client is crucial for success in this position. As a Senior Accounting Manager, you will leverage your accounting expertise to manage and oversee the financial reporting and compliance aspects of our private equity funds. You will work closely with a team of professionals, providing guidance and support while also ensuring that all financial activities are conducted in accordance with industry standards and regulations. Your role will require a keen attention to detail and critical thinking skills, as you will be responsible for multitasking and managing various projects simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential, and a CPA or intention to obtain a CPA is preferred.
