About the position

The Senior Accounting Manager is a key role within a $1B+ Manufacturing and Products Company, responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and the month-end close process. This position involves leading a team, ensuring GAAP compliance, and implementing process automation to enhance efficiency. The role also includes participation in strategic projects and financial analysis, making it crucial for the financial health of the division.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close process, including journal entries, inventory, reconciliations, analysis, and fixed assets.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and maintain internal controls.
• Involved with strategic projects and making recommendations for process automation and system enhancements.
• Assist with financial analysis and budgeting process.
• Implement and maintain internal controls.
• Lead and manage an accounting team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Advanced degree a plus.
• 10-15 years of experience, with at least 4+ years in a supervisory role.
• Manufacturing industry experience with understanding of inventory.
• Strong process automation skills.
• Proficient with large ERP systems.
• Ability to lead and direct a team.
