In this role you will be a Subject Matter Expert on fixed asset accounting and Fixed Asset Software (Sage) and responsible for real estate and personal property taxes. You will be an Accounting lead for inventory team and reconciliations. IT accounting expert. You'll also serve as the primary support contact for fixed assets, IT related accounting and other accounting tasks. Your day may include: Reconciling all general ledger Fixed Asset (FA) accounts Managing all related Fixed Asset communications to ensure all incoming FA invoices are moved into Concur for processing and payment and to communicate with other lines of business regarding fixed assets Coordinating with Project Budget Analyst to ensure fixed assets are properly coded and assigned to Construction in Process (CIP) or recorded as fixed assets Preparing monthly IT accrual and related journal entries Processing all IT related invoices in Concur and addressing vendor-related issues related to invoicing Producing monthly IT Accounting reports for the IT Department to include Actual vs. Budget reports Preparing monthly real estate and personal property tax accrual and journal entries Ensuring all taxes are paid in a timely manner Maintaining all communications with governing community bodies to ensure proper documentation has been received for all WSECU related properties and personal tax items Primary contact for organization and recording of inventory as it is occurring Capturing all invoices in Concur; entering and maintaining prepaid records in Sage Assisting Accounting Capital & Project Budget Analyst as needed Assisting with operations audit and DFI examinations as needed What you bring to the team: A Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting, but related experience may be substituted Minimum five (5) years of experience in accounting, preparing general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and conducting month-end close related duties Microsoft Excel, Word and personal computer experience Detail orientation for accuracy Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills Bonus Points if you have: One (1) year experience in a financial institution such as a credit union or a bank. Symitar software knowledge Experience with external audits Competitive pay: $32.18 - $48.28 per hour, dependent on relevant qualifications, plus an annual discretionary incentive plan and benefits package. The target starting pay for this position is $32.18 - $40.23 per hour, typically within the first half of the range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant's pay history into account. The range above allows our employees room for growth through annual merit and other pay increase during their tenure in the position. Position location: 330 Union Ave, Olympia WA. Employee must reside and perform all work in the state of Washington. This is a work from home/hybrid position with the exception of occasional on-site training, meetings and specific organization events.
