KBR requires a Senior Acquisition and Program Management Subject Matter Expert (SME) Level III, located in Dayton, OH, to support several large Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) aircraft programs and initiatives. This position is critical in leading acquisition studies at the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Headquarters Air Force (HAF), and AFLCMC levels, which are essential for making informed decisions regarding major United States Air Force (USAF) weapon systems programs. The successful candidate will provide expert guidance and recommendations that will shape acquisition strategies for multiple program offices and senior staff at OSD, HAF, and AFLCMC. This includes the development of key artifacts and preparation of briefings for senior leadership. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of training devices, simulators, and the various pathways that lead to successful acquisition execution. The role demands a high level of expertise in current USAF weapon system management processes, policies, and procedures, particularly in relation to ACAT I, II, and III Program Manager functions. The candidate will be responsible for providing recommendations on overall acquisition strategies, including the tailoring of milestone requirements and documentation. Additionally, the Program Management SME will develop necessary program documentation to support Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Milestone Decisions, and Acquisition Strategies. With at least 20 years of experience in Department of Defense (DoD) and Air Force acquisition, including a minimum of three years acting as an ACAT I, II, or III Program Manager within the last decade, the candidate must demonstrate the ability to work effectively as part of a high-performance team in a fast-paced and high-visibility environment. Key management skills required for this position include proficiency in writing and responding to Federal and DoD RFPs, knowledge of DoD 5000.02 and AFLCMC policies and processes, and experience in developing acquisition strategies and artifacts. The candidate must also possess a Program Management Level III DAWIA certification, strong problem-solving abilities, critical and creative thinking skills, conflict resolution capabilities, and the ability to multitask. Clear and well-organized verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. The ability to travel is also a requirement for this position.
