About the position

The RealReal is seeking a Senior Manager, Acquisition Marketing to join our dynamic team in San Francisco, California. This pivotal role reports directly to the Senior Director of Acquisition Marketing and is integral to the success of our marketing initiatives. The Senior Manager will lead the strategy and execution of various marketing channels including Paid Social, Influencers, Affiliate, Display, and Direct Mail. This position is crucial for driving results and growth for our company, and the successful candidate will collaborate closely with multiple stakeholder teams such as product, merchandising, creative, and analytics to ensure cohesive and effective marketing strategies. In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, management, and execution of campaigns across various platforms. This includes setting up accounts, developing and implementing strategies, managing campaign structures, overseeing budgets, and optimizing performance. You will manage campaigns on platforms like Meta and TikTok, focusing on aspects such as DPA product feeds, audience targeting, and creative recommendations. As a subject matter expert in Paid Social trends and best practices, you will educate relevant teams and maintain strong relationships with Paid Social representatives to enhance performance and explore new opportunities. You will also be tasked with delivering accurate weekly and monthly performance reports to Marketing and Brand partners, analyzing the business performance of paid media channels, and making informed recommendations for investment and efficiency improvements. Additionally, you will develop strategies in collaboration with stakeholders to implement tests, participate in betas, and report on results, ultimately leading to actionable recommendations for roll-out. Partnering with the internal creative team to test and optimize creative assets will also be a key responsibility in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Leads planning, management, and execution for paid social, display, influencers, affiliate and direct mail campaigns including account setup, development and implementation of strategies, campaign structure, budget management, optimizations, and invoice management
  • Manages Meta and TikTok campaigns including DPA product feeds, audience targeting, and creative recommendations/optimizations
  • Acts as subject matter expert on Paid Social trends and best practices and educates relevant teams
  • Maintains a close relationship with Paid Social representatives to optimize performance and leverage new opportunities
  • Ensures weekly and monthly paid media performance reports are delivered to Marketing and Brand partners accurately and on time
  • Analyzes business performance of paid media channels and makes recommendations on incremental investment and improving efficiency
  • Develops strategy and works with stakeholders to implement tests, participate in betas, and report out on results and develop recommendations for roll-out
  • Partners with the internal creative team to test and optimize creative

Requirements

  • Minimum 6-8 years experience in growth/performance marketing
  • 2-3 years experience mentoring team members
  • Hands-on management in social platforms (Meta, TikTok) and Affiliate (Impact Radius)
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in analyzing raw data, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations
  • Strong attention to detail with experience in proper campaign set-up and QA, execution, and budget management
  • Highly collaborative with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with advanced measurement methodology including attribution and incremental lift testing
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally

Nice-to-haves

  • Marketplace experience (buyers and sellers) preferred
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker)
