About the position

The Senior Munitions Engineer will be responsible for conducting reviews on armament programs, evaluating and recommending alternative plans, and improving systems engineering processes. This role involves managing the technical baseline of programs, designing and performing system-level tests, and providing technical support and training in compliance with Air Force Systems Engineering Assessment Model processes. The engineer will also analyze major engineering weapon systems and provide proposal analysis support services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct reviews on armament programs portfolio to evaluate and recommend alternative plans.
• Improve systems engineering programs and processes.
• Manage and sustain program technical baseline.
• Design and perform system level tests to assure subsystem and system performance.
• Prepare management reports and conduct technical presentations for planning and implementation.
• Perform validation of systems, including the development of criteria and procedures.
• Analyze and evaluate results of major engineering weapon systems.
• Provide system/program engineering and technical support to programs/initiatives.
• Conduct formal trade studies based on various engineering performance metrics.
• Provide proposal analysis support services comparing proposed systems for technical feasibility and cost effectiveness.

Requirements

• Master's degree and fifteen (15) years of professional experience; OR an undergraduate engineering degree from an ABET-accredited college.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Top Secret Security clearance required.
