About the position

The Senior Acquisition Program Engineer at COLSA Corporation is responsible for conducting reviews and evaluations of armament programs, managing technical baselines, and ensuring system performance through rigorous testing and analysis. This role involves preparing management reports, providing technical support and training, and conducting formal trade studies to assess engineering performance and cost-effectiveness. The engineer will also analyze proposals and support various engineering initiatives in compliance with Air Force Systems Engineering Assessment Model processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct reviews on armament programs portfolio to evaluate and recommend alternative plans.
• Improve systems engineering programs/processes and manage/sustain program technical baseline.
• Design and perform system level tests to assure subsystem and system performance.
• Prepare management reports and conduct technical presentations for planning and implementation.
• Perform validation of systems, including the development of criteria and procedures.
• Analyze and evaluate results of major engineering weapon systems.
• Provide system/program engineering and technical support for compliance with AF SEAM processes.
• Conduct formal trade studies based on various engineering performance metrics.
• Provide proposal analysis support services for technical feasibility and cost effectiveness.
• Review and analyze Initial Capabilities Documents, CDDs, CPDs, AoAs, and other related documents.

Requirements

• Master's degree and fifteen (15) years of professional experience; OR an undergraduate engineering degree from an ABET-accredited college.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Top Secret Security clearance required.
