About the position

KBR is seeking a Senior Acquisition Program Manager to support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC)/XP-OZ/OZJ Maintenance Systems Program Management Office. This role is critical in leading weapon systems acquisition activities and providing expert guidance that shapes acquisition strategies for the Systems Program Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing program documentation that supports Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Milestone Decisions, and Acquisition Strategies. This position requires a deep understanding of USAF weapon system management processes, policies, and procedures, as well as the ability to execute cost, schedule, and technical aspects of the program effectively. In this role, the candidate will be expected to prepare senior leadership-level briefings and provide recommendations that influence acquisition strategies. The position demands a high level of expertise in DoD weapon system management, with a focus on ACAT I/II/III Program Manager functions. The candidate will work closely with various stakeholders, ensuring that all acquisition activities align with the strategic goals of the Air Force. The ability to work well as part of a team and with minimal supervision is essential, as is the willingness to travel as required for the role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop program documentation to support Request for Proposal, Milestone Decisions, and Acquisition Strategies.
  • Manage USAF weapon system management processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Oversee cost, schedule, and technical execution of acquisition activities.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree
  • 15 years of experience in DoD weapon system management
  • Experience with ACAT I/II/III Program Manager functions
  • Knowledge in writing and responding to Federal and DoD Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to travel
