About the position

KBR requires a Senior Acquisition Program Manager to support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC). This candidate will lead weapon systems acquisition activities, providing expert guidance and recommendations that shape acquisition strategies. The role involves the development of program documentation to support Requests for Proposal (RFP), Milestone Decisions, and Acquisition Strategies. The candidate will also be responsible for understanding and applying USAF weapon system management processes, policies, and procedures, ensuring effective cost, schedule, and technical execution throughout the acquisition lifecycle. In this position, the Senior Acquisition Program Manager will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including senior leadership, to prepare briefings and reports that communicate acquisition strategies and progress. The role demands a high level of expertise in DoD weapon system management, with a focus on ACAT I/II/III Program Manager functions. The candidate must be adept at writing and responding to Federal and DoD RFPs, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the acquisition process and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments. The successful candidate will be expected to work well as part of a team and with minimal supervision, showcasing strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Travel may be required as part of the role, necessitating flexibility and adaptability in various work environments.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 15 years of experience in DoD weapon system management
  • Experience with ACAT I/II/III Program Manager functions
  • Knowledge in writing and responding to Federal and DoD Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to travel
